PMP provided rope rescue cover for an inspector entering boilers at two locations over multiple visits to undertake regulatory inspections.

Access was 280mm x 406mm.

There were limited areas to rig from so the Arizona Vortex (specialist rope access deviation device), be rigged as a Gin pole to offer high help for rescue.

Fall arrest was rigged for access up and down from gantry ladder.

The Gin pole used for accessing the boilers will also used for rescue from the top of the tank by deviating the ropes from steelwork to drop someone down to ground level.

PMP rescue team included a Paramedic with clinical governance, drugs pack and advanced 1%! aid equipment.

Rolls Royce were looking for a workable rescue plan due to both the tight entry and the difficulty in rigging a rescue provision which PMP provided along with the reassurance of having a Paramedic as part of the team which is an option for clients in remote areas or for complex high risk activities.
