UKSTT Award Winners

With two of our submitted awards reaching the final of the UKSTT awards, we were excited to attend the UKSTT award dinner, which was held in conjunction with the No Dig Live 2016 show at Peterborough Arena.

The show itself was a great success, giving us the opportunity to meet many new contacts, as well as enabling us to demonstrate our confined space rescue capabilities on our outdoor stand and talk about our range of products such as AMEX-10 seals, an ideal trenchless solution for reducing pipeline leakage on our indoor stand.

In the small scheme category, the submission “BESPOKE ENGINEERING KEEPS VIADUCT PIPELINES OPERATIONAL” where our capacity to develop and build bespoke replacement pipework enabled us to complete a tee-piece replacement using no-dig techniques that would otherwise have caused major traffic disruption near Sheffield, won us a highly commended certificate.

Eco-VAS – AN ULTIMATE TRENCHLESS TECHNOLOGY” the development of a valve actuation system that eliminates the need for installation of, or access to, a buried or overhead power supply by utilising a renewable energy source, was the winner of the Innovative Product category.

Eco-VAS (Valve Actuation System) is a completely self-contained, solar powered device designed for the actuation of all valve types and sizes by the simple push of a button.

The successful results of both these submissions is testament to the engineering capability within our company. Whether it is bespoke day to day engineering or research and development projects, our team of experienced and practical engineers, combined with their confined space and rope access knowledge means that we have the proven capability to solve engineering conundrums in very difficult to access areas.

A huge congratulations to all involved in the development of Eco-VAS, as well as to everyone who helped make No Dig Live 2016 a success.
