PMP were called by John Davies, Headworks Controller, UU.

John explained, two Victorian valves had become very difficult to operate and required two men to turn.

PMP have had an excellent track record of resolving this common problem and proposed to replace the aged spindle control rods with a new hydraulic stainless steel control system.

Once awarded, PMP were able to fabricate the bespoke stainless steel control system and install these in the valve tower.

The new hydraulic control system was is easy to operate and maintain but, and this was the most important advantage for John, can be operated by one man and eliminated the need for persons to enter the confined space to operate the valves.
