PMP custom manufacture and replace worn out equipment and machine parts used in reservoirs, water treatment works, waste water treatment works, and process industries such as food manufacturers, paper mills and chemical plants.

We can carry out detailed surveys of existing equipment and structures and fabricate replacements from modern materials.

Our engineering workshop is fully equipped for welding, cutting, milling and turning and we have work spaces big enough to accommodate large scale fabrication works.

We can provide the design team with over 30 years of manufacture, fabrication and installation experience.

Our engineers regularly work in confined spaces and via rope access enabling PMP to gain safe access to difficult work areas where scaffolding would be cost prohibitive.

Field Services

PMP carries out confined space engineering both above ground and in confined spaces.

Our engineers regularly work in confined spaces and some are IRATA (industrial rope access) trained, enabling PMP to use rope access methods to gain safe access to difficult work areas where ladders would not be safe and scaffolding cost prohibitive.

We repair and replace steelwork and ironwork and install new and refurbished equipment in reservoirs, water treatment works, waste water treatment works, and process industries such as food manufacturers, paper mills and chemical plants.

Working closely with our client’s designers, or specialist subcontract designers, we can provide the design team with years of manufacture, fabrication and installation experience.

We have extensive manufacturing facilities at our purpose built workshops in Burnley and we can also manufacture and fabricate on site.

We manufacture and install remote valve control systems for impound and service reservoirs to minimise the need for man entry access to valves into hazardous areas.

We also manufacture and install debris guards for reservoir pipe inlets or outlets.

We manufacture and install access decking, fencing and handrails. We carry out repairs to water storage tanks by plate welding over the affected areas and re-coating the steelwork to specification.

Bespoke & One Off Components

Many of the structures used in the supply of potable water date back to the Victorian era and early 20th century. In many cases the original manufacturers have gone out of business and many of the skills used in their creation are no longer in mainstream use today. These structures were often built to a one-off design and replacement parts are no longer available. PMP’s team of experienced engineers, led by Sean Haynes, Contracts Director, work with many of the leading water utility companies and their framework contractors to keep these facilities in first class working order.

PMP can manufacture bespoke, one-off components to replace Victorian engineering with modern, maintenance-free materials.

Our engineering workshop is equipped for milling, turning, welding and fabrication and we have secure indoors storage for the fabrication of large structures.

We manufacture in mild steel and stainless steels in a variety of grades including 304, 316 and 254SMO, to refurbish penstocks, valves, headstocks & control gear, staircases, walkways, ladders and fencing.
